I got this game off a free key. I've been majorly hyperfixated on purple directors cut since 2022 when my friend showed me the extended demo. This game touches base with practically almost everything, it is major rep. For the lgbt community, the therian community and the system community. Of course the game is going to be dark as there are dark subjects about being a system. For a game made with an rpgmaker I am incredibly impressed. The game at most has so much story and you have to be patient. It takes time and understanding but this game is genuinely so important to me. Somehow I connect with every single character atleast somehow. Me and my boyfriend kin Randall and Tate unexpectedly hard. I'm really glad now that the full release had came out, I can show all my friends. I really hope this game gets the closure it deserves.
I'm a lil slow at video games so I've only gotten the true ending and the no pills ending so far but holy shit-

In the last dream I was so fucking confused in that maze, I love it, it all looks so cool but my shitty eyes sight could not with the screen moving.

Am I right, is this in the Moths' dream? If so, there will be spoilers below.
You need to get a syringe in a world with cockroaches, then in the same world teleport through a pool of blood into a maze, find a colorful house, there you will get cigarettes. Go to the blue door, where there will be a white space with monsters. Through one of the monsters, teleport into space with mother (that creepy creature is Randall's mother) and interact with her. After receiving a knife from her, return to the world with cockroaches and interact with trash cans until you find yourself in an enclosed space with a lantern. Interact with phone, and then with the portal and (if I'm not mistaken) use the phone again and you will find yourself in a rainy forest, where you will find the last house (there you will receive a tape)
Damn, I'm sorry if it's messy. English is not my native language and I have some memory problems, so I can vaguely remember some details. I hope I didn't miss anything and didn't mix it up.

hmm well theres no demo files on this page to download (i actually made an entirely new game page for the full game so that wouldnt be possible)
you must be cancelling the download and finding the demo in your old downloads
i know windows has been extra picky lately with indie games, i had the same issue with "thats not my neighbor" when i got it
i recommend trying again and moving your purple demo into a different folder than where youre downloading the full game. when the windows popup shows up, make sure youre hitting "allow download" and when you run it, if you get that popup about it not being sure, click "more options" and "run anyway".

the only other thing i can think of is if youre maybe downloading the wrong thing from your downloads on itchio, are you downloading the game from the game page or are you doing it from somewhere else?
ok where are you downloading it from? are you downloading it from the gamepage or are you downloading it from your old itchio downloads?
you are unfortunately the only person whos had this issue because its not really even possible for you to be downloading the demo from here x_x
the only thing i can think of is you downloaded the demo before and youre downloading the wrong file from your previous itchio downloads and not the actual game page
that or youre trying to download it and because it has the same file name your computer wont replace it for some reason
It seems that this method didn't work for me the last time I tried it. If I'm not mistaken, the f1 on my laptop performs some kind of function and refuses to work for anything else. And the f5 button is completely empty, so it works with it. This applies not only to purple, but also to other games and other keys that already perform some function
Speaking of keys, I was wondering if there's any reason why the game doesn't support wasd controls? I didn't really understand how the rpg maker works and maybe it's basically impossible, but I was confused the first time because I was used to having the controls on the left and the shift on the right
actually! i had placed a script to get WASD keys to work, however it proved to cause more problems in the long run with key binds during beta testing so i had to remove it
im not sure why rpgmaker doesnt support WASD tbh, it seems pretty dumb to me as well, but at least it does support controller functions

The code for the staff room consists of 6 numbers. Check the cafeteria, there will be an object that is not in place. Return it to its place and you will receive 1 part of the code
I am not sure if this is normal or what happened or how to fix this but after playing purple my laptop got stuck with a smaller aspect ratio and black bars around the screen (it won't let me upload a picture btw)
The aspect ratio had gotten changed somehow. Just go to settings, display settings, display and resolution and just find whichever one fits your laptop/pc.
I didn't keep track of which events take place on which day, but it looks like he should get into the apartment only the next day(?) inspect the box near uncle and aunt's apartment, if you haven't done it yet, and go to bed
Absolutely loved the game!! Played blind (with help from the walkthrough) and got the bad ending, lol- Just one question! Is there a CG gallery, or do they come up as the game progresses and we can't access them separately later?
the CG gallery is available in the bonus room after you beat the true end! just make sure you save whenever you beat an ending (you should get a prompt at the end of the credits) and dont save over it and it should lock the gallery pages in!
the way to make a gallery work in rpgmaker in a game with different endings is a little annoying XD
just finished playing all six endings. It took me two days but boy was it worth it. Once again this was one of the best games I ever played in a while.

Really fun game, just one issue. gonna spoiler it in case it's that bad.
So, I've just finished the 3rd(?) chase of the hospital, running away from the moth after Mya turns into them, but when I go to do the code on the door, it seems like I don't have the full thing? I've searched all the rooms on the 1st and 3rd floor again (the second is locked still) and I haven't found anything. Is there some action I need to take to let Randall try and use the scrap I have to fill in the code or?

Hello, I'm confused, I'm stuck in Randall's third dream, in the tutorial it tells me that I should grab the cd of the house in the forest above Randall's mother, but it just won't let me access that part, someone you can help me?
I am stuck, please help! Im not sure what to do when randall gets out of the hospital and he's like different(doesn't want to do anything). Im on the true route. The guide does not say what to do for this.

I NEED HELP PLEASE I'm stuck in a part of the game.I'm with Mya and we are in an area of the hospital in F1 where there are two rooms with an X-RAY screen, if you turn off the light on one of the screens it says a 4 with an up arrow, and on the other screen it says a 2 with an arrow turned to the right and I don't know what to do with that information.
Wow- I really got my friend interested in Tate (Platonically because they are AroAce; I'm the only one simping) because we both ended up very upset to see that not only did he die in the bad ending...but also in the Therapy and True endings as well- we only have two endings left (No Pill and Secret) and we can't wait for us to finish it!
P.S. Fox...We know there are probably going to be upset that the True ending had Tate dying...and although me and my friend were upset too (my friend more so because I have learnt to accept my fav characters dying due to Dnaganronpa)...BUT DO NOT LET ANYONE PUSH YOU INTO FEELING GUILTY FOR THAT DEATH!!! and to be honest, purple actually was fully released back in 2018 and the character tate replaced died the exact same way, tate was specifically made to just fill this role from the start, but my partner wanted to make a little off shoot game and we decided to toss him in and thus frostbite was born lol
tate was always destined for this unfortunately but that doesnt mean we wont be making content with him XD

tbh...I think most creators don't think a character will get as popular (especially one who is supposed to be a bad/evil character) as they think...but I think people nowadays have started to appreciate well written antagonists/morally incorrect characters! A great example my friend gave was Vincent from Dead Plate! People love him despite his true nature! I think another good example is Jax from Digital Circus as well!
We just love analyzing characters and lore! Theory crafting is one of our most favorite activities! I can't wait to use what I learn from your games for when I go into the field as well! I said it before, but I plan to go to college to study Computer Science for Game Development and I have been trying to learn many different aspects of what goes into games! Me and my friend, like I said, are making a project and we hope to maybe one day make a game for that project as well!

Got a bad ending and it’s my last (it’s funny that it’s listed as the first). I liked the sprites and the final cutscene. I think the internet needs some post-incident Moth art 👁️

Alr this is kinda a stupid ass question but-Do all the Purpura alters share one body or are they all their own person? I’m sorry I’m not very familiar with DID (if that’s what causes it?-)
DID is an identity disorder, so they all share the same body but have different personalities. The visual differences, it seems to me, are more of an artistic device to better convey their character and differentiate them.
I advise you to read about this disorder, at least the information that is available on the Internet. This is really interesting to study and will also help to better understand people who have this disorder

this is simply a location to give you a clue for the locker combo in the red water area ^w^ the numbers you need all make the same step sound when walking over them as well as read out loud when you interact with the phone booths!
this area and the locker are totally optional! just some fun extra exploration, theres actually quite a few little easter eggs and locations scattered throughout the dream ! some things are based on a random variable generator and such so i hope you have fun exploring! if you just wanna get through the dream to advance the story however, i uploaded a free walkthrough available in the downloads ^w^
I'm trying to get the therapy ending, and after not escaping the burning building, I took Lucy and went to Randall's apartment. But I can't get to the bathroom?? There's a flame in the way making it impossible to get past. Help please?
The true ending made me cry so much, man that ending is sad but adorable, Personally him reciting a poem in the credits really made this ending amazing, The part of it that really cut deep the most was when he says “and all you can hear/say(I forgot which one) is burn me alive” truly an amazing game and I will continue to replay it as much as I can.

Absolutely loved the game!! Played blind (with help from the walkthrough) and got the bad ending, lol- Just one question! Is there a CG gallery, or do they come up as the game progresses and we can't access them separately later?
the CG gallery is available in the bonus room after you beat the true end! just make sure you save whenever you beat an ending (you should get a prompt at the end of the credits) and dont save over it and it should lock the gallery pages in!
the way to make a gallery work in rpgmaker in a game with different endings is a little annoying XD
just finished playing all six endings. It took me two days but boy was it worth it. Once again this was one of the best games I ever played in a while.
I love this game with all my soul <33, it is worth paying for it, I wish more people knew about it and could appreciate all the dedication behind it, I would like to help make it a wiki, I really don't know if it already has one, but I would be happy to contribute
Really fun game, just one issue. gonna spoiler it in case it's that bad.
So, I've just finished the 3rd(?) chase of the hospital, running away from the moth after Mya turns into them, but when I go to do the code on the door, it seems like I don't have the full thing? I've searched all the rooms on the 1st and 3rd floor again (the second is locked still) and I haven't found anything. Is there some action I need to take to let Randall try and use the scrap I have to fill in the code or?

I managed to get into the room with the door that takes 1000X to press to enter it, im incredibly confused on what to do if there is anything that I am able to do in that room. Is it just there for the looping effect and to die? I want to hope that theres more

I'm also stuck on that part, I haven't researched the pizzeria much but I think you have to win the game where moths comes out, I'm not sure

I figured it out and wanna share just in case you're still stuck and haven't seen any video walkthroughs! You need to get the screwdriver in the box thats located in the room with the vent beside the moths game machine (the room unlocks after beating it)
Worth the wait! I love this game and the characters within so much! I remember playing the demo and the improvement is truly amazing. I'm gonna enjoy this for good while if not forever. Thank you so much for this cant wait to see what's next!

I NEED HELP PLEASE I'm stuck in a part of the game. I'm with Mya and we are in an area of the hospital in F1 where there are two rooms with an X-RAY screen, if you turn off the light on one of the screens it says a 4 with an up arrow, and on the other screen it says a 2 with an arrow turned to the right and I don't know what to do with that information.
If anyone knows what to do please help me-

Wow- I really got my friend interested in Tate (Platonically because they are AroAce; I'm the only one simping) because we both ended up very upset to see that not only did he die in the bad ending...but also in the Therapy and True endings as well- we only have two endings left (No Pill and Secret) and we can't wait for us to finish it!
P.S. Fox...We know there are probably going to be upset that the True ending had Tate dying...and although me and my friend were upset too (my friend more so because I have learnt to accept my fav characters dying due to Dnaganronpa)...BUT DO NOT LET ANYONE PUSH YOU INTO FEELING GUILTY FOR THAT DEATH!!! YOU CHOSE TO KILL OFF TATE FOR YOUR STORY AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!! IT'S YOUR GAME, SO IT'S YOUR DECISION!!! NO ONE ELSE!!!

and to be honest, purple actually was fully released back in 2018 and the character tate replaced died the exact same way, tate was specifically made to just fill this role from the start, but my partner wanted to make a little off shoot game and we decided to toss him in and thus frostbite was born lol
tate was always destined for this unfortunately but that doesnt mean we wont be making content with him XD
i really appreciate your kind words tho ;w; ive been expecting a few people to be mad at me about tates fate but its been planned from the start so it is what it is haha we werent expecting so many people to like him tbh XD

tbh...I think most creators don't think a character will get as popular (especially one who is supposed to be a bad/evil character) as they think...but I think people nowadays have started to appreciate well written antagonists/morally incorrect characters! A great example my friend gave was Vincent from Dead Plate! People love him despite his true nature! I think another good example is Jax from Digital Circus as well!
We just love analyzing characters and lore! Theory crafting is one of our most favorite activities! I can't wait to use what I learn from your games for when I go into the field as well! I said it before, but I plan to go to college to study Computer Science for Game Development and I have been trying to learn many different aspects of what goes into games! Me and my friend, like I said, are making a project and we hope to maybe one day make a game for that project as well!
Anyway- Sorry for rambling! I just want to say thanks again for making such a wonderful game! I haven't actually checked out your other two games (I've obviously already played FrostBite and this game) but I might try to get time to do that now! Got a bad ending and it’s my last (it’s funny that it’s listed as the first). I liked the sprites and the final cutscene. I think the internet needs some post-incident Moth art 👁️
Waiting for the release on steam so I can get all the cutscenes in the bonus room and get the achievement for destroying all the toilets in the area >:3. I don't really want to update it here. I too like to think that I was so fast that I got a copy of the game with the ability to save anywhere, hehe ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
Alr this is kinda a stupid ass question but-Do all the Purpura alters share one body or are they all their own person? I’m sorry I’m not very familiar with DID (if that’s what causes it?-)
DID is an identity disorder, so they all share the same body but have different personalities. The visual differences, it seems to me, are more of an artistic device to better convey their character and differentiate them.
I advise you to read about this disorder, at least the information that is available on the Internet. This is really interesting to study and will also help to better understand people who have this disorder

this is simply a location to give you a clue for the locker combo in the red water area ^w^ the numbers you need all make the same step sound when walking over them as well as read out loud when you interact with the phone booths!
this area and the locker are totally optional! just some fun extra exploration, theres actually quite a few little easter eggs and locations scattered throughout the dream ! some things are based on a random variable generator and such so i hope you have fun exploring! if you just wanna get through the dream to advance the story however, i uploaded a free walkthrough available in the downloads ^w^

The true ending made me cry so much, man that ending is sad but adorable, Personally him reciting a poem in the credits really made this ending amazing, The part of it that really cut deep the most was when he says “and all you can hear/say(I forgot which one) is burn me alive” truly an amazing game and I will continue to replay it as much as I can.
